Abstract This research reported the eigenvalue responses of delaminated hybrid (adhesive and bolted) polymeric joint components using a simulation model via ABAQUS. First, is developed into by combining two different eight‐noded elements for glass‐fiber‐reinforced adherents (quadrilateral in‐plane general‐purpose continuum shell element, SC8R) adhesives (linear brick) discretization component. The necessary end boundary conditions are now adopted to compute desired eigenvalues Lanchzo's solution steps. Further, validity, including element‐sensitive analysis, performed computing few examples. In this regard, initially compared with numerical results available in published domain further verified in‐house experimentation (intact damaged). frequency response deviates from data maximum 15%. Similarly, experimental findings, ranging minimum 1.13% 18.5%. Based on model's accuracy consistency, structure extended evaluate influences geometrical parameters delamination. Finally, set recommendations illustrated intact/damaged lap structure. fiber layup orientation, condition, aspect ratio significantly impact natural adhesively bonded joints.
