Quaternized
chitosan
flocculants
exhibit
excellent
removal
efficiencies
for
anionic
contaminants,
while
the
treatment
efficacy
is
greatly
impeded
colored
effluents
with
high
salinity
due
to
their
lower
hydration
ability
in
saline
solutions.
In
this
work,
we
developed
a
new
kind
of
comb-like
cationic
chitosan-based
hydrogen-bond
(H-bond)
enhanced
ability,
CS-g-p(DMC-co-HEMA)
(CPDH),
by
grafting
copolymerization
2-hydroxyethyl
methacrylate
(HEMA)
and
methacrylatoethyl
trimethylammonium
chloride
(DMC)
onto
skeletons.
The
hydroxyl
groups
from
HEMA
could
improve
CPDHs
environment,
abundant
quaternary
ammonium
DMC
endow
satisfactory
antibacterial
against
both
Staphylococcus
aureus
Escherichia
coli.
Three
different
H-bond
components
were
synthesized
tuning
molar
ratio
applied
treat
types
pollutants
solution
using
kaolin
dyes
as
model
pollutants.
Experiments
showed
that
CPDH1
exhibited
tolerance
achieved
more
than
96%
efficiency
methyl
blue
deionized
water
conditions.

CPDH0

12.5%
decrease
when
compared
water.
Furthermore,
demonstrated
universal
flocculation

As
one
of
the
most
important
flocculants,
polyacrylamide
(PAM)-based
materials
show
enhanced
capability
to
purify
highly
turbid
wastewater
by
prolonging
length
molecular
chains
and
modifying
functional
groups,
which,
however,
generally
involves
complex
synthetic
procedures
expensive
guests.
In
this
study,
exfoliated
g-C3N4
colloids
(CNCs)
were
used
as
sunlight-driven
photocatalysts
trigger
radical
polymerization
acrylamide
(AM)
without
adding
any
initiator.
More
importantly,
CNCs
also
acted
a
cross-linker
prolong
PAM
chain,
thus
promoting
flocculation
water.
The
content
in
CNCs/PAM
hybrid
(CNPAM),
dosage,
pH
value
optimized.
We
further
studied
effects
stirring
speed
time
well
sedimentation
on
behavior.
Under
optimal
conditions,
CNPAM
flocculant
could
effectively
flocculate
kaolin
suspension
with
transmittance
>93%.
fractal
dimension
analysis
indicated
floc
size
increased
enhancement
CNC
flocculant.
It
was
testified
that
had
good
universality
for
high
water

concentrations
