Biocidal fabrics can reduce the transmission of pathogens caused by contaminated personal protective equipment (PPE). N-halamines are very effective and fast-acting biocides against bacteria viruses. To explore relevance N-halamine compounds for use in PPE operational clothing (OCE), this study investigates impact an N-halamine-based finish on functional aesthetic properties used medical gowns military uniforms, examines effect conditions simulating OCE practical finish. It was observed that presence a water-repellent reduced chlorine loading fabric made hydrophilic fibers, whereas no polyester fabric. No major application measured strength. In terms color, gown strongly affected subsequent chlorination, more limited. The treated remained within requirements Class 1 flammability. results showed low chlorination temperature different water quality levels efficiency. On other hand, laundering, repeated abrasion, exposure to UV radiation perspiration content These provide some insight into strengths remaining challenges finishes when considering applications clothing.

Abstract Antibacterial, flame‐retardant textiles are the preferred materials for curtains, carpets, home furnishings, and clothing in public places have important significance. The phosphorus–nitrogen–boron cooperative effects promote good properties cotton fabrics, while a halamine structure imparts excellent antibacterial properties. A novel antibacterial, eco‐friendly agent was prepared applied as permanent finishing of fabrics. Cotton fabrics treated with display self‐extinguishing performance, an average burned length approximately 65 mm oxygen index more than 31%. After sodium hypochlorite bleaching activation, gold‐colored Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli reached logarithmic value 5, indicating outstanding bactericidal performance. test results XPS, CCT, TG‐IR show that mode action APBN fiber is mainly condensed‐phase flame retardant supplemented by gas phase. Based on comprehensive evaluation retardant, physical properties, this paper reports composite obtains fabric durable
