Abstract Packaging hydrophobic drugs into polysaccharide carriers can improve their aqueous solubility, biocompatibility, tumor‐specific accumulation, and therapeutic effect. In this work, phenylboronic acid (PBA) was anchored onto the chain of biocompatible hyaluronic (HA) by an amide condensation reaction, which could be used to fabricate stimuli‐responsive targeted drug delivery systems. A series pH‐responsive conjugated nanoparticles composed a core hydrophilic shell were prepared boronate‐crosslink PBA with diol‐containing anticancer such as capecitabine (CAPE) aloin (Al). Satisfactory release behavior at acidic pH, lower cytotoxicity, higher effect realized using carrier. It is believed that strategy has great potential for modification anticancer‐associated applications.

Ovarian cancer (OC) is the most lethal reproductive system and a leading cause of cancer-related death. The high mortality rate poor prognosis OC are primarily due to its tendency for extensive abdominal metastasis, late diagnosis in advanced stages, an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, significant adverse reactions first-line chemotherapy, development chemoresistance.Current adjuvant chemotherapies face challenges such as targeting, low efficacy, side effects.Targeted drug delivery systems (TDDSs) designed deliver drugs precisely site enhance efficacy minimize effects. This review highlights recent advancements use TDDSs therapies, including conjugate systems, nanoparticle hydrogel systems. The focus on employing TDDS conduct direct, effective, safer interventions through methods targeted recognition controlled release, either independently or combination. This also discusses prospects further TDDSs.Undoubtedly, shows promise battle against OCs.
