Abstract Smart packaging technologies are revolutionizing the food industry by extending shelf life and enhancing quality monitoring through environmental responsiveness. Here, a novel smart concept is presented, based on amyloid fibrils (AM) red radish anthocyanins (RRA), to effectively monitor spoilage color change. A protein nanofibrils biofilm developed from whey protein, which functionalized with RRA endow resulting films advanced capabilities. comprehensive characterization, including pH responsiveness, water vapor permeability, thermal mechanical testing, colorimetric responses, demonstrates superiority of AM/RRA compared control monomer building blocks. The findings indicate that can monitor, for example, shrimp freshness, showing visible changes within one day at room temperature significant alterations in after two days. Furthermore, these exhibit high antibacterial antioxidant activities, reinforcing their suitability efficient packaging. By integrating bio‐based materials natural anthocyanins, this research presents biodegradable, sustainable, cost‐effective solution, contributing eco‐friendly innovations preservation.
