(1) Background: Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) is an aquatic plant with a long history and ornamental, edible, medicinal, commercial value. All parts of the lotus are important “homologous different effects” medicinal herbs as distinct same effects. (2) Methods: Six representative were selected, i.e., flower (Nelumbinis Flos, Flo), petiole Petiolus, Pet), seedpod Receptaculum, Rec), stamen Stamen, Sta), seed Semen, Sem), plumule Plumula, Plu), analyzed via UPLC-MS/MS for metabolite profiling RNA sequencing gene expression. Weighted co-expression network analysis identified several transcription factor families related to flavonoid synthesis. (3) Results: Distinct accumulation expression patterns observed, particularly in synthesis pathway. Key findings included metabolic profiles stamens, high content light-exposed tissues, functional differentiation seeds plumules. The discovered essential biosynthesis contribute molecular breeding resource utilization. (4) Conclusion: This study provides theoretical basis lotus, quality control materials, rational use resources obtained from lotus.

Objective The aromatic profile of Rosa canina L. petals hold immense potential for the fragrance and pharmaceutical industries. This study aims to investigate chemical composition gene expression patterns across different floral development stages uncover biosynthetic pathways scent. Methods Essential oils (EOs) were extracted from at five developmental (S1-S5) analyzed using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), identifying 20 distinct compounds. RNA isolation quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis performed assess expression. Results Stage S3, notable its enhanced profile, was dominated by terpenoid compounds such as β-Citronellol (1.18%), Caryophyllene (8.59%), β-Selinene (1.50%), oxide (0.50%), indicating significant upregulation biosynthesis genes. qRT-PCR revealed that CCD1 had highest in S4 (9.51-fold), while DXR DXS peaked S3 with fold changes 29058.38 73.35, respectively. Other genes like AAT1 , LIS GPS also showed peak expressions 1.33, 10.70, 1.18, PAR exhibited S1, GGPPS (2.01-fold). Clustering indicated groupings patterns, strong correlations between specific compounds, (0.78) (0.92). Principal Component Analysis (PCA) highlighted contributions nonadecane overall variance. Conclusion These findings provide a comprehensive understanding genetic factors shaping R . promising applications both sectors. study’s innovation lies detailed correlation EO expression, presenting new insights into

This work aimed to determine how factors such as genotype, environment, and location influence the variation of biochemical compounds constituting nutraceutical profile Rosa canina L. fruits for their future integration a functional food in everyday life, region Romania, where wild have lost popularity, along with globalization social evolution rural environment. For nine genotypes L., average values moisture (35.81%), ash (2.55%), total sugar content (41.37 g glucose equivalents/100 g), polyphenols (1211.15 mg gallic acid tannins (764.22 flavonoids (126 catechin anthocyanins (18.64 cyanidin 3-glucoside alkaloids (64.20 equivalents atropine sulfate/100 antioxidant activity (91.97%), well contents vitamin C (1.97 g/100 lycopene (0.85 mg/100 β-carotene (1.42 g) were determined. The determining factor is there are significant variations bioactive compounds, both between three studied areas same area. value justifies potential these use natural medicine prophylactic preventive activity.
