ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate the role of let‐7a‐5p in pathogenesis essential hypertension (EH) and its correlation with renin‐angiotensin‐aldosterone system (RAAS) biomarkers. Ninety‐eight EH patients 24 healthy controls (HC) enrolled were assayed for relative expression plasma by quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction (Q‐PCR), biomarkers RAAS system, including angiotensin‐converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), Ang (1‐7), MAS1, (ACE), angiotensin II (Ang II), type 1 receptor (AT1R), determined enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) The levels determined. results showed that remarkably higher than those HC. prediction model combined high accuracy constructing a subject operating characteristic (ROC) curve an area under (AUC) 0.885, reliability was further verified Hosmer–Lemeshow (H–L) goodness‐of‐fit test, Model Calibration Curve, Decision Curve Analysis. Spearman analysis revealed positively correlated ACE ( r = 0.352, p < 0.001), mediation indicated partially mediated between development hypertension. present concludes potential as companion diagnostic biomarker EH. It suggests there may be complex regulatory mechanism it specific biomarkers, which provides new perspective on diagnosis
