ABSTRACT Herbivore‐induced plant volatiles play a crucial role in enhancing resistance and adaptability. However, the key triggering this response their activation mechanisms remain largely unknown. Although tea aphids ( Toxoptera aurantii ) are common plantation pests, underlying biochemical pathways by which aphid‐induced Camellia sinensis contribute to aphid not well understood. In study, we measured jasmonic acid (JA) accumulation induced feeding using LC‐MS DESI‐IMS analysis. We also identified diverse array of through GC‐MS. Notably, stimulated β‐Elemene accumulation, ‘Shuchazao’ aphids. evaluated insecticidal activity contact toxicity repellent bioassays. For first time, CsELE as terpene synthase enzyme catalyzing final step biosynthesis from farnesyl pyrophosphate. Transient overexpression gene silencing affected thereby influencing Furthermore, Dual‐Luciferase Y1H assays revealed that MYC2a, core transcription factor JA signaling pathway, positively regulates expression. Overall, study advances our understanding transcriptional regulation pest attacks, providing new insights into ecological significance under biotic stress.
