Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol (stilbenoid), which can be found in grape skin, red wine, blueberries, peanuts and others. The biological properties of resveratrol, particular antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, estrogenic, vasorelaxant cardioprotective activity, are the main reason for its importance medicine pharmacy. Despite all advantages, however, there many problems related to this polyphenolic substance, such as low stability, water insolubility, poor bioavailability fast metabolism. For reason, scientists currently searching different approaches dealing with these problematic improving therapeutic usage resveratrol. This review summarizes mechanisms effects determined vitro vivo, limitations drug. article emphasizes new improvement resveratrol delivery, nanoencapsulation, formation nanocrystals, prodrugs structure analogues.
