Aim: Capsaicin is a compound that possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, it found in almost all bitter fruits. The objective of our study was to investigate the protective effect capsaicin an ethanolic ulcer model. Materials Methods: male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups, comprising control group three experimental groups (n=8). (C) administered single dose distilled water subcutaneously. (CAP) 1 mg/kg CAP via gavage. 1ml absolute alcohol gavage, 30 minutes following administration U+CAP CAP. Macroscopic microscopic scores, as well mucosal barrier integrity, evaluated gastric tissues had been removed. levels total oxidant status (TOS) (TAS) determined tissue samples, oxidative stress index (OSI) calculated. Results: In comparison U group, macroscopic lesions, TOS, OSI IL-1, TNF-α, NFκB Caspase 3 expressions be decreased while TAS observed increased. Conclusion: results demonstrated protects integrity through its antioxidant, anti-apoptotic properties ethanol-induced
