Natural and man-made disasters significantly challenge the safety stability of urban infrastructure (UI), disrupting daily operations impeding economic development. However, existing research on resilience (UIR) lacks comprehensive categorization critical infrastructure, insufficiently considers impacts natural disasters, offers limited empirical analysis interactions among pressure, state, response (PSR) dimensions. This study aims to establish a UIR assessment index examine coupling coordination (CC) levels obstacle indicators PSR across four Chinese municipalities. The results reveal that (1) is most influential overall more amenable artificial interventions than pressure state resilience; (2) generally, CC in municipalities were relatively high, advancing from an inferiorly intermediately balanced development stage over period, highlighting effective strategies such as enhanced resource allocation post-disaster recovery initiatives are recommended for adoption by similar cities; (3) identified, targeted proposed based each municipality’s unique characteristics. findings offer theoretical insights practical implications enhancing perspective utilizing models.

The COVID-19 pandemic put forward a new test for an economic resilience study. Its long-term and diffusive spatiotemporal characteristics suggest that we need to pay attention the spatial heterogeneity of cities over longer period. This paper applied SARIMA performance curve measure each city under pandemic, explored its influencing factors using geodetector geographically weighted regression model. results show that: (1) From 2020 2022, in Yangtze River Delta presented downward upward slightly trend. High-resilience were concentrated southern Jiangsu, while vulnerable primarily located western Anhui. regional core was not as strong previous research focusing on resilience. (2) Fixed-asset investment, related variety, labor supply level, foreign trade dependence, innovation level main factors, average. effects these had endowment development quality. findings specificity public health risks lack coping experience may lead general failure Identifying key current weaknesses region can make improvement strategies more targeted effective.

The synergistic improvement in urban resilience and low-carbon development level is significant for mitigating adapting to climate change, achieving the ‘dual carbon goal’ promoting sustainable development. By constructing a comprehensive evaluation index system of development, this study quantitatively measures Central Plains Urban Agglomeration (CPUA) from 2009 2021. Further, coupling coordination degree model geographical detector explore spatial temporal evolution pattern driving factors (CCD) results show following: (1) From 2021, shows good momentum continuous rise, distribution ‘high northeast low southwest’. Low-carbon characterized by trend ‘first decline then rise’, forming south northwest’. (2) CCD also rising trend. type mainly reluctant coordination. (3) correlation, agglomeration downward (4) economic scientific technological innovation are main two forces differentiation coordinated systems. In addition, explanatory power interaction various influencing was significantly enhanced. word, helpful clarify further between provide experience reference construction high-quality other agglomerations world.
