We report on the recent earthquakes (EQs) that occurred, with main shock 6 February 2023, principally in central southern part of Turkey and northwestern Syria. This region is predisposed to because tectonic plate movements between Anatolian, Arabian, African plates. The seismic epicenter was localized at 37.08°E 37.17°N depth order 10 km magnitude Mw7.8. use Graz’s very-low-frequency VLF facility (15.43°E, 47.06°N) investigate amplitude variation Denizköy transmitter, Didim district Aydin Province western Anatolian Turkey. transmitter known as Bafa (27.31°E, 37.40°N), radiating a frequency 26.7 kHz under callsign TBB. signal detected daily by Graz an appropriate signal-to-noise ratio, predominantly during night observations. study this analysis variations TBB phase signals two weeks before earthquake occurrence. It essential note station are included preparation area, derived from Dobrovolsky relationship. have applied multi-terminators method (MTM), revealing anomalies occurring sunset sunrise terminator occasions phase. Minima maxima linked three terminators, i.e., facility, EQ epicenter, considering MTM method. show significant those epicenter. leads us make evident precursor anomaly, which appears more than one week (i.e., 27 January 2023) They can be considered trace, sign, residue sub-ionospheric propagation disturbed along its ray path above zone. find sunrise–sunset associated regions.
