With the ongoing electrification of vehicles, thermal management is on everyone's lips. To prevent overheating in electronic systems, new design strategies for dissipation are needed. Thermally anisotropic materials enable targeted directional heat transport due to their conduction. Laminates made unidirectionally aligned carbon fibers a polymer matrix can be tailored regarding in-plane anisotropy. Exposing laminates temperature gradient reveals that determined by properties. The corresponding flow visualized IR thermography. combination laminate discs into composite materials, similar building with toy bricks, enables precise control macroscopic materials. Thus, we achieve at level individual components. In addition, show orientation anisotropy relative crucial guide selectively. We found ratio anisotropy, amount and arrangement components, positioning strongly influence transport. By combining all these factors, able locally composites creating either dissipate or block proposed concept extended different shapes blocks two three dimensions.

The geometric configuration, particularly the inner tube diameter, plays a significant role in thermal performance of pulsating heat pipes (PHPs). Previous experimental research has demonstrated that single-loop triple-diameter PHPs (TD-PHPs) outperform single-diameter (SD-PHPs) and dual-diameter (DD-PHPs) terms under moderate heating input powers ranging from 25 W to 75 W. However, reduction leads diminished impact TD-PHPs on performance. Therefore, improve overall TD-PHPs, this study used two-dimensional transient computational fluid dynamics simulations identify optimal diameters for at low by evaluating resistance five with various diameters. findings reveal TD-PHP configuration exhibits minimum resistance, 4.5 mm upper arch (the condenser section), 4.0 wide branch, 2.5 narrow primarily due its full circulation flow pattern. Furthermore, transfer was compared an SD-PHP inputs (10 18 W), indicating although shows lower it does not significantly affect start-up time.
