CO-selective methanation (CO-SMET) is an efficient hydrogen-rich (H2-rich) gas purification technology for proton exchange membrane fuel cells. It vital to develop suitable catalysts with good low-temperature activity CO-SMET reactions. In this study, RuNi/TiZrx-mixed metal oxide (RuNi/TiZrx-MMO) different molar ratios of Zr/Ti, derived from a Zr-promoted NiTi-layered double hydroxide (NiTi-LDH) precursor were successfully prepared using the co-precipitation and wet impregnation methods. The RuNi/TiZr0.2-MMO catalyst possesses higher catalytic performance in lower temperature window 180–280 °C, which can reduce CO concentration be below 10 ppm. characterization results obtained XRD, BET, SEM, TEM, XPS, TPR, TPD suggest that addition ZrO2 increases surface area catalyst, improves dispersion metallic nanoparticles, reducibility Ni species on catalyst’s surface, enhances adsorption activation ability CO, resulting remarkable at reaction temperatures. Moreover, demonstrated long-term stability carbon resistance.

The fluctuating nature of wind energy and shortage biomass resources, as two types renewables, can be fulfilled via their hybridization. In this respect, present research proposes a hybrid biomass/wind driven power generation framework based on combined gas turbine-Rankine cycle scheme. turbine includes reheat stage where the produced hydrogen is added to combustion chamber for increasing flue temperature enhance output power. injected generated water electrolyzer which powered by electricity from turbines. proposed scheme system leads reduction in consumption will fulfill fluctuations non-continuous availability energy. To appraise feasibility developed scheme, thermodynamic first second law-based analyses were performed. Also, exergo-environmental evaluation plant conduced using three indices. Finally, optimum operation conditions determined minimization environmental damage index. results under indicate that, yields exergy efficiency 47.35 % with index 0.0104.
