steam
reforming
(MSR)
generate
H2,
five
individual
REOs
were
prepared
as
supports
Cu/CuO
understand
Cu/CuO-support
interaction.
Pure
REO
with
a
cubic
phase
are
successfully
fabricated
except
that
monoclinic
La2O2CO3
carbonate
is
formed
La2O3
sample,
which
has
negative
effect
on
reaction.
The
reaction
performance
ranks
5%
Cu/CeO2
>
Cu/Sm2O3
Cu/Pr6O11
Cu/Y2O3
Cu/La2O3
samples.
It
been
disclosed
quantities
of
surface
basic
sites,
active
O2-
species
and
Cu+
contents/percentage
positively
correlated
performance.
Thus,
interaction
together
three
kinds
sites
decides
In
addition,
In-situ
DRIFTS
results
CH3OH
adsorbing/steam
have
demonstrated
optimal
Cu/CeO2,
reactive
monodentate
m-HCOO*
intermediate
formed,
absent

Abstract
Due
to
high
energy
content
and
environmentally
friendly
attributes,
hydrogen
is
regarded
as
an
ideal
carrier,
serving
a
viable
alternative
fossil
fuels.
Steam
reforming
of
fuels
currently
the
dominant
source
production
with
negative
environmental
impacts,
therefore
aqueous
phase
(APR)
biomass
derivatives
represents
attractive
method
for
green
due
its
relatively
mild
operating
temperatures
carbon
neutrality.
This
work
provides
overview
types
catalysts
employed
in
APR
process
their
pros
cons
regarding
performance
conditions.
Effects
various
catalyst
supports,
e.g.,
alloy
oxides,
composite
active
metals
ceria,
feedstocks,
on
are
also
discussed.
Recent
advances
challenges
summarized
into
several
aspects,
(1)
doping
metals/inorganics
support,
(2)
structural
manipulation
defect
induction
(3)
synthesis
single-atom
catalysts,
(4)
development
more
eco-friendly
processes
or
catalysts.
The
present
review
can
provide
guidance
prospective
efficient
supports
H
2
production.
