Global warming and the global energy crisis are two major challenges humanity is currently confronting that pressuring scientific community to find efficient, low-cost, environmentally sustainable solutions. Within this context, hydrogen has emerged as a clean efficient carrier promising replace hazardous fossil fuels. The present study, of relevance water splitting domain, concerns synthesis novel hybrid structures, namely polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) functionalized with Ag-doped LaMnO3 Pd-doped LaMnO3, respectively. electrolysis catalytic activity these new materials was evaluated in strongly alkaline medium. Perovskite-based modified electrodes were manufactured through four different procedures. samples displayed electrocatalytic for O2 evolution reaction most active electrode one obtained by drop-casting mixture LaMnO3:Ag/PVP Carbon Black on graphite support. study aimed at succeeds increasing database concerning role perovskite oxides water-splitting field.
