Abstract Hydrogen is hailed as a plentiful and clean energy source, which holds promise substitute for fossil fuels, particularly when produced through solar water splitting. However, its volatile explosive nature necessitates stringent safety measures throughout production, transportation, utilization. This study analyzes hydrogen gas leakage detection by using various sensors such ultrasonic, electrochemical, metal oxide, catalytic, fiber Bragg grating sensors. Various sensor technologies are developed leak detection, each offers unique advantages challenges. Fiber optic sensors, leveraging changes in light interference, provide explosion resistance durability, while ultrasonic detect leaks sound wave analysis, albeit with limited commercial application environments. Schlieren imaging real-time visualization of behavior, predominantly laboratory settings. Electrochemical enable reliable electrochemical interactions, oxide exhibit sensitivity ease manufacturing, challenges related to cross-sensitivity response times. The safe and stable operation of oil gas stations makes a positive contribution to the stability reliability natural supply. In order reduce impact leakage diffusion accidents in station, it is necessary develop an effective method monitor locate source quickly accurately. This study proposes multi-point monitoring data grid model achieve full-coverage stations. addition, on this basis, inversion positioning established realize station. A field experiment was carried out with station as example. results show that optimal layout points needs consider influence environmental factors, confirmed by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation. optimized interpolation not only reduces cost point layout. through comparison multi-objective optimization algorithms robustness test, can be found convergence efficiency accuracy algorithm have been greatly improved.
