In recent years, Fe–N–C materials have been considered as feasible substitutes for platinum-based catalysts to enhance the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). However, still specific problems, including poor inherent activity, restricted availability of active sites, and inferior stability. This work presents a simple efficient method synthesizing Fe/N codoped hierarchical porous carbon nanosheets using one-step pyrolysis. The optimized 900 catalyst exhibits excellent ORR performance with an onset potential 0.958 V half-potentials 0.885 in alkaline medium, surpassing those commercial Pt/C catalyst. addition, optimal demonstrated improved stability great resistance methanol. Furthermore, zinc-air battery constructed from shows remarkable power density 163.65 mW cm–2 capacity 807.80 mA h gZn–1. electrochemical cycle were proven exceed 400 at current 5 cm–2. study offers valuable insights development highly stable clean energy field.
