This study aimed to explore how varying the thickness of nickel catalyst affects synthesis carbon nanotubes on glass mats using thermal chemical vapor deposition (TCVD) method. Nickel served as catalyst, with acetylene hydrocarbon source and argon carrier gas. Initially, different thicknesses were applied mat via plasma-enhanced (PECVD). Subsequently, these samples underwent TCVD plasma treatment. Electrical resistance measurements conducted, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy, transmission (TEM) employed analyze presence, surface morphology, quality nanotubes. The research revealed that significantly influences nanotube process substrates. An optimal yielded a an electrical 2 Ω per unit area post-TCVD
