Photocatalytic hydrogen evolution using inexhaustible clean solar energy is considered as a promising strategy. In order to build an efficient photocatalytic production system satisfy the demands of practical applications, it great significance design photocatalysts that offer high activity, low cost, and stability. Herein, series cheap CdS/Ni(OH)2 composite were designed synthesized hydrothermal method. The introduction Ni(OH)2 cocatalyst multiplied reactive active site cadmium sulfide promoted transfer photoinduced electrons in semiconductor. Therefore, composites demonstrate significantly better performance, rate optimal CdS/5%Ni(OH)2 6.9 times higher than blank CdS. Furthermore, stability test also showed had good This study aims serve rewarding reference for development high-performance photocatalysts.
