Abstract In the realm of electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) is a material that holds great promise as substitute for platinum (Pt), which both expensive and scarce. The restricted number active sites low conductivity MoS have an impact on its catalytic efficiency, however, hampers application ‐based catalysts in practical production. integrated Van der Waals (vdW) engineering morphology hold potential to effectively boost . Herein, hierarchical nanotubes /N‐doped‐C) assembled from nanosheets sandwiched by N‐doped‐C layers are synthesized utilizing integration hydrothermal annealing. 3D structure with stepped edges, produced directly integrating carbon into interlayers, enhances activity stability HER compared scattered conductive carriers. experimental results demonstrate /N‐doped‐C shows excellent under acidic conditions, exhibiting extremely small Tafel slope 42 mV dec −1 , overpotential 41 at geometric current density 10 mA cm −2 maintaining durability more than 100 h.
