Abstract Due to the widespread use of large language models (LLMs), we need understand whether they embed a specific “worldview” and what these views reflect. Recent studies report that, prompted with political questionnaires, LLMs show left-liberal leanings (Feng et al., 2023; Motoki 2024). However, it is as yet unclear are reliable (robust prompt variations) leaning consistent across policies leaning. We propose series tests which assess reliability consistency LLMs’ stances on statements based dataset voting-advice questionnaires collected from seven EU countries annotated for policy issues. study ranging in size 7B 70B parameters find that their increases parameter count. Larger overall stronger alignment left-leaning parties but differ among programs: They (left-wing) positive stance towards environment protection, social welfare state, liberal society also (right-wing) law order, no preferences areas foreign migration.
