Purpose This paper aims to investigate the moderated-mediation roles of career crafting as well leader-member exchange (LMX) between decision self-efficacy and psychological empowerment among ex-offenders in Ghana. Design/methodology/approach A purposive sampling technique was used selecting 412 at various religious rehabilitation units multiple regression analysis conducted hypothesized paths. Findings The findings show that LMX moderates mediated link empowerment. Research limitations/implications Guided by positivist paradigm deployed study, some methodological limitations such inability provide an in-depth explanation cause-and-effect relationships are worth noting for future studies explore. Originality/value To best authors’ knowledge, empirical work is unique, it first extend scope development through perspective recidivism emerging economy.
