Over the last few decades, researchers have paid attention to finding an effective and efficient metaheuristic algorithm that can determine ideal parameters for PV models. In this study, TDM’s nine unknown parameters, we will examine efficacy of a recently proposed called light spectrum optimizer (LSO). To further enhance effectiveness LSO in estimating those new improved variant ILSO is developed. This employs conjunction with two newly developed update systems improve its exploration exploitation operators. We compare best fitness value, worst average fitness, standard deviation, p-value returned by Wilcoxon rank-sum test obtained three published competitors when Photowatt-PWP201 module RTC France solar cell. The experimental findings show most efficient.

Abstract Parameter prediction for PV solar cells plays a crucial role in controlling and optimizing the performance of modules. In this study, parameter four‐diode model was carried out using Improved Grey Wolf Optimization (IGWO) algorithm, which builds upon (GWO) algorithm. The parameters required were optimized based on predefined objective function. Subsequently, obtained data compared with from RTCFrance Solar Cell to validate accuracy reliability optimization results. evaluation results revealed that Sum Square Error (SSE) values PSOGWO, AGWOCS, GWOCS, GWO 3.96E‐05, while MSE value IGWO 3.6309E‐05. These findings clearly demonstrate proposed algorithm outperforms other algorithms used minimized SSE values. Traditional methods for estimating output property of the photovoltaic (PV) modules are strongly influenced by selection reference condition and transforming equations, which determine calculated physical parameters under real operating conditions. Manufacturers of photovoltaic modules do not provide all the information necessary to predict their performance under different climatic conditions. This forces development mathematical models behavior and application methods for calculation associated parameters. A toolbox called PVMSim implemented in MATLAB/GUI is proposed this paper.
