In micro-abrasive water jet polishing (MAWJP) technology, where abrasive particles serve as tools, tend to form large clusters, leading increased nozzle wear and diminished material quality. Achieving a solution with good dispersion stability is crucial for enhancing accuracy minimizing wear. Therefore, this study employed three dispersants distinct mechanisms examine the impact of each dispersant’s concentration on across various concentrations. Through experimentation, optimal dispersant type ratio were determined, effect selected performance was validated. The results experiment indicated that, in comparison Na(PO3)6 polyethylene glycol (PEG), containing 1.0–2.0 wt% phosphoric ester compounds exhibited more stable (zeta potential < −50 mV) superior dispersibility, characterized by smaller average particle size. Furthermore, K9 optical glass subjected fixed-point local using dispersant. revealed at 1.0 an 20 wt%, smooth symmetrical removal profile could be achieved. experiment, reduction rate root mean square surface roughness (RMS) from 54.33% 82.24%, peak-to-valley height difference (PV) 38.84% 68.97%. conclusion, incorporation proves effective dispersibility particles, thereby improving quality materials MAWJP.
