A numerical study focuses on the temporal evolution of fractional-order convective nanofluid flow along with entropy generation characteristics within a wavy square porous enclosure containing circular cylinder. The application fractional derivatives facilitates more accurate representation fluid dynamics, thermal transport, and production. governing equations are formulated as partial differential equations, momentum transport modeled using Darcy–Brinkman–Forchheimer approach. complete mathematical framework is solved robust technique that integrates implicit finite difference scheme (L1-scheme) for discretization penalty element method spatial discretization. investigation carried out various emerging parameters, including parameters (α), Rayleigh number (Ra), Darcy (Da), porosity (ε). results displayed through contour plots streamlines, isotherms, local generation, graphical mean Nusselt number, Bejan total generation. These findings offer valuable insights into interplay between parameter in influencing reveals (α) plays pivotal role system's evolution, higher values α significantly accelerating rate evolution.
