Polypropylene employed in plastic roofing sheets production is vulnerable to UV light irradiation, causing it degrade. This study investigates the effect of graphite (Foreign and Nigerian) as fillers stabilizers on mechanical properties subjected irradiation. composite was prepared with varying proportions (10% 60%). The hardness, impact strength, tensile strength were tested before after 48 hours exposure. results indicate that generally decreases increasing filler loading exposure-time, though Polypropylene/FGP composites at 20% filler-loading insignificantly affected by UV-light its tensile-strength slightly dropping from 32.71 MPa 31.88 MPa. Tensile Polypropylene/NGP 40% dropped 41.78 37.42 MPa, likewise a 90/10 proportion more (33.77 26.62 MPa) compared counterpart. Impact increases an increase up 20%, 30% filler, materials gained resistance degradation light. Hardness showed both foreign local increased material's PP/FGP exhibiting consistent performance hardness value produced 10% 12.3 HRF 11.85 In conclusion, offer superior pertinent Polypropylene.
