Long-term erosion by acidic solutions in karst regions leads to continuous deterioration of the physical and mechanical properties at interfaces engineering structures, adversely affecting their operational performance. To investigate degradation patterns corrosion mechanisms concrete‒limestone composite (CLC) after exposure corrosion, three kinds CLC samples treated with different pH values were fabricated. Mechanical property analysis was conducted via triaxial compression testing methods. Lemaitre's strain equivalence hypothesis utilized, on basis assumption that strength rock microelements follows a Weibull distribution, damage due combined compressive failure. The study results indicate significantly affects failure modes CLCs. As solution decreased from 7 5 then 3, peak strengths 16.6% 11.92%, whereas elastic moduli 25.36% 23.13%, respectively. Furthermore, increasing confining pressure, residual improved; increased 8.2 MPa 86.93 as pressure 0 10 MPa. Finally, introducing constitutive model corrected for postpeak strength, stress‒strain full-process curves CLCs under degrees more accurately simulated. validation confirm applicability accuracy established model, providing theoretical technical support understanding predicting behavior limestone–concrete structures environments.

Abstract The occurrence of hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) gas gusher accidents is a worrying engineering disaster during tunnel construction travel through stratum adsorbed with H S. To mitigate the risks associated S, alkaline solutions are applied within and injected into rock mass ahead face to neutralize eliminate Samples from Huangjiagou in southwestern China systematically investigated understand interaction between S-adsorbed limestone calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH) ) at concentrations 1, 3, 5%. results indicate that exposure Ca(OH) solution leads erosion aluminum silicate minerals subsequent precipitation potassium feldspar crystals. uniaxial compressive strength modulus elasticity decreased by 48.82 28.31%, respectively, following an exponential trend as concentration increased. Additionally, increase number abrupt energy changes detected via acoustic emission observed treated higher solutions. Energy evolution analysis indicates alkaline-treated exhibits significantly enhanced dissipation capacity loading process, making dissipative more likely dominate.
