Biomass derived carbons as electrode materials for supercapacitors have drawn great attention owing to their low cost, high specific areas and abundant surface functional groups, but most of preparation processes are time-consuming power-wasting. In this work, we reported a rapid energy-saving strategy preparing N/O doped porous from loofah sponges via one-step microwave carbonization/activation. Utilizing KOH the absorption medium activator, carbonization/activation process could be completed within 6-12 min. The resulting demonstrated capacitance 294 F∙g-1 at 0.5 A∙g-1 an outstanding retention rate 74.8% 20 A∙g-1. fabricated symmetric supercapacitor based on as-prepared carbon displayed comparable energy density 6.67 Wh∙kg-1 power 100 W∙kg-1. Notably, remarkable long-term cyclic stability by retaining 95.2% its initial was acquired after 60,000 cycles. Our research not only fabricates sustainable also provides fast efficient route producing biomass with capacitive performances commercial applications.
