Diesel engines are extensively employed in transportation, agriculture, and industry due to their high thermal efficiency fuel economy. However, the combustion of conventional diesel is accompanied by substantial emissions pollutants, including carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx), dioxide (CO2), posing significant threats environmental quality. Biodiesel, as a renewable cleaner alternative fuel, can significantly reduce CO, HC, particulate matter (PM) its unique molecular structure. Nonetheless, lower calorific value poor cold-start performance limit application, while oxygen content may contribute increased NOx emissions. To address these limitations, researchers have proposed blending biodiesel with alcohol-based fuels such methanol, ethanol, or butanol create synergistic systems that optimize engine emission characteristics. This paper systematically reviews effects alcohol on characteristics blends engines. Studies indicate addition enhance improving atomization, extending ignition delay, increasing premixed efficiency. These enhancements result higher cylinder pressure, net heat release rate (HRR), brake (BTE), reducing brake-specific consumption (BSFC) some extent. Abstract In this article, the detailed mechanism of isopentanol was simplified by direct relationship graph error propagation (DRGEP), generation rate analysis, reaction path optimization, and sensitivity a comprehensive isopentanol/gasoline alternative fuels obtained. Isopentanol/gasoline-characterized with different blending ratios were investigated, results showed that promoted autoignition gasoline.
