Low biodegradability of several dyes leads to their accumulation in water, causing ecological and health damage. The adsorption and, particular, biosorption processes are widely applied for the wastewater treatment. This article presents first comparative study Allura red dye removal under neutral pH at 25 oC applying novel biosorbents: carboxyethyl chitosan hydrogel (CEC) cryogel cross-linked with butanediol-1,4 diglycidyl ether (DEB-CEC). gels were synthesized “green” manner, characterization revealed porous structure high swelling both biopolymer compositions, which properties important adsorption. kinetic studies demonstrated that rate DEB-CEC is better represented by pseudo-second-order, while CEC followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. isotherm Red suited Temkin model samples, maximum capacity 22.523 mg/g (45.4 μmol/g) 10.482 (21.1 DEB-CEC, respectively. results polymers can be used as biodegradable eco-friendly biosorbents from aqueous solutions, making these promising treatment prevention azo-dye environmental pollution.

Scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis (SEM-EDX) fluorescence were employed for identification. SEM revealed grains, including tiny particles unevenly shaped sticks. First- second-order rate laws, representing two distinct kinetic models, applied approach. Characterization of industrial effluent i.e. sugar, dye, paper and pulp; combined is performed using the standard method, which indicates higher amount pollutants exist in all effluents. Adsorptive batch treatment conducted activated neem leaf powder (a-NLP), adsorbent dose, temperature contact duration are factors selected for this study to reduction COD, BOD color from individual wastewater. Maximum elimination attained upto 93.4-82.4, 82.6-75.9 93.4-86.1 % respectively paper-pulp at dosage 23 gm/L a-NLP, 300 K 60 min. Adsorption isotherms such as Freundlich, Langmuir, Dubinin-Raduskevich, Flory-Huggins Temkin Isotherm examined order explore adsorption mechanism. The reaction rate estimated by different kinetic models (Pseudo First-, Pseudo Second-order, Intra-particle Elovic equation). From correction coefficient value, Freundlich isotherm First-order govern process. Different thermodynamic parameters free energy (∆G°), enthalpy change (∆H°) entropy (∆S°) also accessed, that thermodynamically feasible. Solvent desorption carried out regenerate three consecutive cycles.
