This study presents the fabrication and characterization of mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) incorporating green-synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Hibiscus Rosa sinensis extract within a polyethersulfone (PES) for nanofiltration (NF) application. The were evaluated their pure water permeability, salt rejection, dye removal, antifouling performance. Results showed that membrane with 0.75 wt% AgNPs exhibited highest permeability 36 L/m2 h−1 bar−1 attributed to increased porosity enhanced hydrophilicity. Addition 0.75wt% resulted in significant improvements, NaCl rejection from 32 57%, MgSO4 26 67%, CaCl2 27 41%. Antifouling tests revealed had lowest irreversible fouling flux recovery due antimicrobial action improved surface properties AgNPs. Importantly, performance fabricated align loose nanofiltation characteristcs, as evidence by high rates coupled moderate salts. highlights potential effective nanofillers developing high-performance environmentally sustainable into wastewater treatment.
