SARS-CoV-2 is a member of the family coronaviruses associated with severe outbreaks respiratory diseases in recent decades and causative agent COVID-19 pandemic. The recognition by activation innate immune response recruits neutrophils, which, through their different mechanisms action, form extracellular neutrophil traps, playing role infection control trapping viral, bacterial, fungal etiological agents. However, patients COVID-19, at vascular level, combined other cells inflammatory mediators, leads to thrombotic events disseminated intravascular coagulation, thus leading series clinical manifestations cerebrovascular, cardiac, pulmonary, kidney disease while promoting mortality. Previous studies hospitalized have shown that elevated levels markers specific for NETs, such as free DNA, MPO, H3Cit, are strongly total count; acute phase reactants include CRP, D-dimer, lactate dehydrogenase, interleukin secretion; an increased risk COVID-19. This study analyzed interactions between NETs pathways involved immunothrombotic processes

Abstract Vaccination has been a game changer in our efforts to address the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. However, might still represent clinical crisis for several more years, part because of inevitable emergence variants capable evading preexisting immunity. Drugs affecting viral spread will help curtail transmission, but therapeutics are needed treat severe cases requiring hospitalization. A deep analysis evolving immune landscape COVID-19 suggests that understanding molecular bases distinct stages is paramount if we limit burden inflammation, which can lead death frail individuals, according age, sex, and comorbidities. Different phases be defined using biomarkers need specific therapeutic approaches, tailored underlying contexture.

An efficient host immune response is crucial in controlling viral infections. Despite most studies focused on the implication of T and B cell COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease-19) patients or their activation after vaccination against SARS-CoV-2, innate has raised even more interest as well. In fact, immunity, including Natural Killer (NK) cells, monocytes/macrophages neutrophils, represent first line defense virus it essential to determine correct an specific acquired response. this perspective, we will report overview main findings concerning SARS-CoV-2 interaction with system, correlation pathogenesis escape mechanisms.

Acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) are life-threatening symptoms in Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. Xuanfei Baidu Decoction (XFBD) is a recommend first-line traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula therapeutic strategy for COVID-19 Prior studies demonstrated the pharmacological roles mechanisms of XFBD its derived effective components against inflammation infections through multiple model systems, which provided biological explanations clinical use. Our previous work revealed that inhibited macrophages neutrophils infiltration via PD-1/IL17A signaling pathway. However, subsequent processes not well elucidated. Here, we proposed hypothesis can regulate neutrophils-mediated immune responses, including neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation generation platelet-neutrophil aggregates (PNAs) after administration lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced ALI mice. The mechanism behind it was also firstly explained, regulated NETs CXCL2/CXCR2 axis. Altogether, our findings sequential responses inhibiting infiltration, as shedding light on exploiting therapy targeting to ameliorate during course.
