Large scale cropland erosion rates mapping and dynamic monitoring are critical for agricultural planning but extremely challenging. In this study, by using field investigation data collected from 20,155 land parcels in 2,781 sample units the National Soil Erosion Survey, use change two decades Land Use/Cover Database of China (NLUD-C), we proposed a new point to surface approach quantitatively assess long-term based on CSLE model non-homogeneous voting. The results show that Yunnan suffers serious problem with unsustainable mean soil rate 40.47t/(ha·a) ratio 70.11%, which significantly higher than those other types. Engineering control measures (ECMS) have profound impact reducing erosion, without ESMs differs more five times. Over past decades, area continues decrease, net reduction 7461.83 km2 −10.55%, causes corresponding 0.32×108 t (12.12% ) decrease loss. We also quantified different LUCC scenarios extraordinarily high variability was found loss basins periods. Conversion forest contributes most reduction, while conversion grassland 56.18% increase erosion. Considering current speed regulation, it is sharp leads rather treatments. dilemma between Grain Green Policy Cropland Protecting Strategy mountainous areas should be treated carefully shared understanding collaborations roles.

Target area of this study are the main agricultural production zones Austria. Most important croplands cover flat to pre-alpine areas concentrated in north, east, and southeast The novelty our is spatiotemporal assessment rainfall characteristics that drive erosivity at event level as well identification erosive distribution patterns within events. Our approach allows definition both typical extreme erosivity. Long-term high temporal resolution datasets were used apply a clustering approach, seasonal spatial analyses, distributions (isopleths) identified types (clusters). Three dominant event-types (clusters) strongly relate with Austria's seasonality complex topography. most events (cluster C1) characterized by intensity short duration. C1 have largest occurrence frequency southern Austria occur from May September. Unlike less more evenly distributed (C2 C3) highly pronounced maximum onset event.

Morphometric analysis of a drainage basin along with its stream network is indispensable for analysing river basin's prevailing geomorphology, geo-hydrology, and erosional susceptibility. In this study, an enhanced morphometric evaluation method using Google Earth Engine (GEE) Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used to assess prioritize 12 sub-basins the Godavari River (GRB), India, based on their The findings susceptibility were validated Sediment Yield (SY) model. Our highlight that Indravati, Pranhita, Manjira, i.e. 42.42% (132707.4 km2) entire GRB are at high risk susceptibility, requiring immediate implementation soil conservation measures. also 52.71% in mature stage geological evolution, wherein landform-building processes still ongoing. Overall, has relatively low density dendritic patterns, permeable soils, elongated Moreover, results SY model exhibited 90% agreement analysis. This study presents efficient framework can assist policymakers demarcation priority zones
