Abstract Giant reed ( Arundo donax ), a plant species with potential for obtaining lignocellulosic fibres, was validated as reinforcement in thermoplastic composites good processability, thermo-mechanical performance, and aesthetics. This study evaluates the impact of closed-loop recycling high-density polyethylene (HDPE)-based up to 40% fillers: fibres shredded plants, on their processing application properties. fillers do not significantly stability performance recycled can improve some aspects.
