Objective We investigated the difference in sleep inertia between shift workers (SWs) and non-shift (NSWs) effects of depressive symptoms, sleepiness, insomnia, chronotype on SWs NSWs.Methods Altogether, 4,561 (2,142 men 2,419 women, aged 36.99±9.84 years) 2,093 NSWs (999 1,094 37.80±9.73 participated current study. All participants completed Sleep Inertia Questionnaire (SIQ), Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CESD), Epworth Sleepiness (ESS), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Morningness–Eveningness (MEQ) through an online survey. Results reported higher SIQ scores than after controlling for CESD, ESS, ISI, or MEQ. The MEQ predicted both NSWs. CESD were stronger NSWs, respectively. indirect via ESS significantly moderated by work schedules. Conclusion showed effect chronotypes was more prominent SWs. However, symptoms Moreover, mediated such different among stratified schedules.
