Abstract Prior psychologically traumatic experiences have been linked to increased risk for mental health conditions. However, there remain questions about the relationship between prior interpersonal trauma, particularly that of neglect and abuse, transdiagnostic dimensions such as intolerance uncertainty (IU: tendency find aversive). To address this gap, we conducted a secondary analysis survey data from an international multi-site sample ( n = 2510). Questionnaires included: Interpersonal trauma by type (e.g. emotional neglect, physical psychological sexual abuse) IU. The findings revealed that: (1) experiencing different forms was associated with higher IU, (2) multiple abuse When comparing across types compared other specifically related These effects remained when controlling broader negative beliefs self others. observed relationships overall amount variance explained IU rather small. Background Cancer-related symptoms have negative impacts on the health outcomes of adults with cancer. Thus, it is critical to identify who might be at risk. Intolerance uncertainty (IU) could major contributor for cancer-related symptoms; however, this relationship understudied in context Objective The purpose scoping review was map literature that has investigated IU and its link symptoms. Methods This used framework proposed by Arksey O’Malley PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses extension Scoping Reviews). A comprehensive search conducted using 5 databases. English-language primary research published focusing included review. Results Of 12 articles review, 11 studies found a positive affective symptoms, including anxiety, depression, stress, fear, worry, distress. These conditions fuel feelings of unsafety, which are linked to lower psychological well-being increased depressive symptoms. Unsafe circumstances inflate apprehension uncertainty, leaving individuals unable foresee stable, secure tomorrow often trapped an anticipatory negative thinking state. Therefore, this study posits that unsafe environments, Intolerance Uncertainty (IU) may mediate the relationships between feeling unsafety depression/well-being aims test hypothesis among sample adults from frequently crisis-ridden country.
