This review aimed to examine the longitudinal evidence on of changes social hypertension among aging adults, with specific focus gender. Methods: A systematic search peer-reviewed literature Medline, Embase, Scopus, CINAHL conducted until 10 June 2024. Prospective studies evaluating effect living arrangement, marital status, network, or participation blood pressure incident adults aged 45 above were included. More consistent adverse outcomes observed across who entered marriage became co-living (gain connections). Similarly, persistent lack appeared result greater increases higher Two included high quality rest medium quality. Excluded assessing change either tie also described (n = 9). Conclusions: There surprising paucity prospective relationships determinants population, despite ample research factors correlated health. Limited suggests that both gains losses well may alter risk, are single-sex samples. Research policy should prioritize causally robust high-quality unravel actionable inform prescribing prevention healthy strategies still tenuous.
