The literature emphasizes the importance of addressing misuse ADHD medications as a potential significant healthcare issue within general population. Nevertheless, there are no systematic reviews that specifically examine whether psychostimulant medication among clinical populations diagnosed with who undergoing prescribed stimulant therapy is rational concern or false myth. This review was carried out according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 Statement. We searched PubMed databases articles indexed up 12th July 2023, without language restrictions. Our search generated 996 unique articles. After full-text revision, 13 studies met eligibility criteria were included in review. In 50% study on adult population, reported prevalence 0%. other studies, range rates varied from 2% 29%, available data focusing youth It has been noted treatment linked particular subject characteristics, such older age, prior more frequent use medication, short-acting history alcohol/substance diagnosis.
