The aim of this study was to highlight the interrelationship between environmental, social, and economic pillars agricultural sustainability their impact on rural development in EU countries. By considering cumulative influence 15 economic, environmental indicators, clustered countries into five homogeneous groups using principal component analysis cluster analysis. research findings confirm that there is a significant trade-off three dimensions sustainability, particularly dimension, one hand, socio–economic other. Thus, main real challenges identified for included 5 (Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Hungary) are related pillar sustainability. Moreover, four (Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland), two different clusters, achieving goals such as reducing emissions (SDG 2.60) increasing area under organic farming 2.40) represents issue sustainable agriculture. results highlighted specific agriculture can hinder its effects development. Therefore, tailored measures should be designed efficiently address these issues.

Agroecology has emerged as a fundamental paradigm for developing innovative solutions to major global concerns such food security, biodiversity loss, and climate change. The core subject of conservation emphasizes agroecology’s role in the preservation native species, pollinators, beneficial creatures through practices agroforestry, cover crops, decreased chemical inputs. Agroecological principles polyculture, crop diversity, integrated pest control help improve security by increasing stability nutrition. encourages carbon sequestration, soil health, greenhouse gas reductions, resulting climate-resilient farming systems. literature review revealed that no article thoroughly discusses all critical hitting challenges, change, single study can be addressed using agroecological principles. This attempts make connection between numerous challenges may solved techniques order facilitate sustainable growth while protecting environment. examines benefits incorporating methodologies into agriculture, with an emphasis on agroecosystem resilience, improving socioeconomic circumstances smallholder farmers, rural livelihoods, local communities, contributing change mitigation. It provides complete concepts their advantages, making it excellent guide policymakers, academics, practitioners who is working build resilient system. emerges light hope, boosting agricultural output also environment, ultimate goal achieving harmonious cohabitation mankind natural world.

Bio-based products are nowadays useful tools able to affect the productivity and quality of conventionally cultivated crops. Several bio-based currently on market; one newest most promising is wood distillate (WD) derived from pyrolysis process waste biomass after timber. Its foliar application has been widely investigated shown promote antioxidant profile WD was used here as additive for cultivation tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) plants. The improved (chemical) parameters, minerals, polyphenols, lycopene contents fruits. extracts WD-treated untreated tomatoes have chemically biologically characterized. 1 H-NMR ESI-mass spectrometry analyses revealed presence different fatty acids, amino acids sugars. In particular, showed pyroglutamic acid phloridzin derivatives, but also dihydrokaempferol, naringenin glucoside, cinnamic acid, kaempferol-3-O-glucoside. When tested in cells, a anti-inflammatory lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. Furthermore, displayed slight vasorelaxant activity rat aorta rings (either endothelium-denuded or endothelium-intact) pre-contracted with phenylephrine potassium chloride. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Wood plant growth. Tomatoes nutritional their activities.

The subject of this review is to discuss some aspects related the use biopolymeric matrices as carriers for plant-growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) in agricultural systems a possible technological solution establishment production practices that result fewer adverse impacts on environment, reporting promising and interesting results topic. Results from encapsulation different PGPB alginate, starch, chitosan, gelatin are discussed, systematizing advances made area knowledge recent years. Encapsulation these has been shown be an effective method protecting them unsuitable environments, new products can act biofertilizers biopesticides play important role sustainable modern agriculture. These solutions replacing deleterious chemical fertilizers pesticides, maintaining soil fertility stability, improving crop productivity food security. Finally, near future, scale-up studies will have provide information about large-scale materials well their application field under biotic abiotic stress conditions.
