Among medicinal plants, the Panax genus (family: Araliaceae) includes plant species widely recognized for their multi-faceted pharmacological attributes. The triterpenoids, designated as ginsenosides, are increasingly drug-like molecules in cancer therapies due to therapeutic role restricting tumor invasion, proliferation, metastasis, apoptosis, and drug resistance reversal cells. In nanobiotechnological era, nano-delivery systems provide feasible solutions address bottlenecks associated with traditional delivery methods (low bioavailability, instability gastrointestinal tract, high dosage requirements, side effects, poor absorption, incomplete utilization body). dedicated efforts precise effective treatment have directed development of ginsenoside-based achieve potent anticancer efficacies limitations ginseng pharmacokinetics, facilitating trials. Studies into pharmacokinetics showed a remarkable prolonged clearance free levels ~15% (ginsenoside RB1 nanoparticles) mice (compared only ~5% ginsenosides) better antitumor efficacies, demonstrating key success biotechnology development. Delving interventions ginseng-derived therapeutics, this study summarizes current advances achievements, particularly treatment, tackles existing gaps, focuses on solutions, examines prospects translational success.
