Abstract Graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C 3 N 4 ) has witnessed tremendous research interest due to its narrow bandgap, intrinsic 2D structure, and abundant raw materials. Although g‐C some shortcomings such as low specific surface area, poor conductivity rapid charge carries recombination, various modification methods are constantly emerging enhance potential application value in photocatalysis. Increasing the crystallinity of is an effective strategy improve in‐plane separation efficiency. However, it also reported that amorphous possesses a higher adsorption activation ability over reactants richer functional groups than crystalline . Which type more suits photocatalysis, which method suitable for boosting activity two types , respectively? Based on these issues, recent advances preparation properties summarized, their performance improvement strategies overviewed thoroughly. Upon systematic comparison analysis, respectively, proposed. Their applications summed up especially environment remediation energy conversation. Finally, ongoing opportunities future challenges photocatalysis territory taken consideration.

Perovskites are bringing revolutionization in a various fields due to their exceptional properties and crystalline structure. Most specifically, halide perovskites (HPs), lead-free (LFHPs), perovskite quantum dots (HPs QDs) becoming hotspots unique optoelectronic properties, low cost, simple processing. HPs QDs, particular, have excellent photovoltaic applications because of tunable emission, high photoluminescence yield (PLQY), effective charge separation, cost. However, practical the QDs family some limitations such as degradation, instability, deep trap states within bandgap, structural inflexibility, scalability, inconsistent reproducibility, environmental concerns, which can be covered by encapsulating into porous materials like metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) or covalent–organic (COFs) that offer protection, prevention aggregation, optical flexibility structure, enhanced biocompatibility, improved stability under harsh conditions, consistency production quality, efficient separation. These advantages MOFs-COFs help harness full potential for applications. This review mainly consists three parts. The first portion discusses perovskites, dots. In second portion, we explore MOFs COFs. third particular emphasis is given thorough evaluation development QDs@MOFs-COFs based comprehensive investigations next-generation intended diverse technological applications, CO2 conversion, pollutant hydrogen generation, batteries, gas sensing, solar cells. Finally, this will open new gateway synthesis perovskite-based

Semiconductor materials based on bismuth metal have been extensively explored for their potential in photocatalytic applications owing to distinctive crystal structure. Herein, we present the development of a hybrid photocatalyst, CAU-17/BiOCl, featuring flower-like nanosheet morphology tailored degradation organic contaminants such as rhodamine B (RhB) and tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH). The composite material is obtained by growing thin CAU-17 layers directly onto host BiOCl nanosheets under solvothermal conditions. optimized CAU-17/BiOCl possesses excellent performance, achieving notable 96.0% removal rate RhB 78.4% TCH after 60 90 min LED light irradiation, respectively. This boosted activity attributed heightened absorption visible caused provision additional reaction sites due layers. Furthermore, establishment an S-scheme heterojunction mechanism enables efficient charge separation between BiOCl, facilitating photoinduced electrons (e
