In the United States, long-term care providers, such as nursing homes and assisted living communities, are meeting consumer demand through housing options designed to support growing population of people with dementia. One approach providing dementia is development "memory units" within existing communities. Memory units provide a setting more tailored cognitive functional abilities these individuals.
