The COVID-19 pandemic worsened food insecurity by curbing the supply chain, slowing delivery of provisions to banks and pantries, magnifying impact on those depending such resources meet their nutritional needs. study’s objective was identify areas resilience vulnerability in security intervention programming during crisis, with specific attention fresh produce donation partnerships. This study examined cultivation provision pantries Iowa before pandemic. It also analyzed experiences volunteers a Master Gardener volunteer program Iowa, which grew donated produce. analyzes data quantities labor hours uses time series analysis content understand changes between pre-pandemic years. Findings include significant decrease years 2020–2021, attributed multilevel government policies social distancing requirements. Vulnerabilities revealed this were exacerbated rather than singly caused it.
