Background/Objectives: The Hogg Eco-Anxiety Scale (HEAS-13) is a thirteen-item measure of eco-anxiety, with four dimensions: (1) affective symptoms, (2) rumination, (3) behavioural and (4) anxiety about personal impact. Being recently developed questionnaire, data on its psychometrics are limited. aim this study was to introduce Polish version the HEAS-13 examine psychometric properties. Methods: Our sample consisted 634 Polish-speaking adults, ages ranging from 18 67 years. We assessed HEAS-13’s factor structure, internal consistency, test–retest reliabilities, concurrent validity via relationships climate-related variables, psychopathology well-being. put emphasis examining discriminant against general psychological distress. Results: As expected, demonstrated strong factorial an intended four-factor structure. consistency reliabilities scale were good moderate, respectively. Higher levels eco-anxiety associated higher environmental concerns, experience climate change (i.e., one’s perception being affected by change), pro-environmental engagement, worry, anxiety, depressive as well lower empirically supported HEAS-13, demonstrating that separable also noted females, younger people, those educational experienced eco-anxiety. To facilitate use measure, we propose potential screening cut-off value for which can indicate meaningfully elevated Conclusions: Overall, has properties, usefully enabling examination anxiety. findings highlight in cross-cultural research healthcare practice.

Ecological momentary assessment (EMA) is a widely used methodology in psychological sciences; however, more broadly, environmental scientists have yet to fully capitalize on the benefits this method offers for gaining critical understanding of subjective and behavioral responses factors. EMA enables collection experiences actions occurring one's natural environment as they unfold over time, allowing researchers gain contextually informed, dynamic, longitudinal insights. can provide an accurate behaviors relevant science. To share perspective, first, we describe current limitations research that could be addressed through integration EMA. Second, discuss several adopting sciences. Finally, highlight challenges considerations involved integrating The overarching implication work foster interdisciplinary potential promise advancing science research.

Awareness of environmental problems such as climate change can motivate action, but educators debate whether to raise students' awareness given that it may provoke eco-anxiety. We have even less understanding how these relationships are affected by young people's growing disconnection from nature. Through 28 semi-structured interviews in Canada and the United Kingdom, we explore perceive nature connection eco-anxiety they introduce discussion problems. Educators frequently observed experiential, cognitive, emotional indicators eco-anxiety, although many (39%) reported rarely, if ever, witnessing environmentally related distress. prioritised improving over raising When discuss issues with students, emphasise hope encourage pro-environmental behaviours avoid eliciting for those not currently experiencing it, a strategy is partially inconsistent literature suggesting some nurture behaviour.
