Treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) faces several challenges, including restricted access to medications, geographical and logistical barriers, variability in treatment availability across different communities. This article outlines strategies aimed at improving medications. Pharmacy-based care could potentially extend medications but would require regulatory changes empower pharmacists. In addition, telemedicine has shown promise by mitigating geographic transportation barriers. Mobile health clinics also offer a direct approach delivering medication-based treatments underserved Furthermore, integrating OUD into primary settings facilitate early detection treatment. Policy have increased take-home buprenorphine initiation home. Community engagement be crucial for tackling the social determinants equitable patients. The implementation these potential significantly enhance accessibility delivery effective, timely patients with OUD.
