Objectives To accurately predict the risk of ischemic stroke, we established a radiomics model carotid atherosclerotic plaque-based high-resolution vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging (HR-VWMRI) and combined it with clinical indicators. Materials methods In total, 127 patients were finally enrolled randomly divided into training test cohorts. HR-VWMRI three-dimensional T1-weighted (T1WI) contrast-enhanced T1WI (T1CE) collected. A traditional was built by recording calculating radiographic features plaques patients’ After extracting from T1CE images, least absolute shrinkage selection operator (LASSO) algorithm used to select optimal construct radiomics_T1WI radiomics_T1CE model. The build models. performance all models predicting stroke evaluated in cohorts, respectively. Results Body mass index (BMI) intraplaque hemorrhage (IPH) independently related model, which achieved an area under curve (AUC) 0.79 versus 0.78 AUC value is lowest but prediction significantly improved when combines IPH BMI. combined_T1WI 0.81 addition, based on characteristics, combined_T1CE had highest 0.84 0.82, Conclusion Compared other models, can stroke.

Erectile dysfunction is a common clinical condition that seriously affects the quality of life and mental health men their partners. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) most important public problem threatening men's worldwide, its current prevalence continues to grow. This study examines relationship between metabolic erectile (ED). We conducted cross-sectional with data were sourced from NHANES 2001-2004. In this study, METS-VF ED was analyzed using multivariate logistic regression, followed by subgroup analyses identify sensitive populations. Comparative regression Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve assessed diagnostic capability against classical obesity index for ED. Creating Predictive Histograms Patients assess net benefit model through Decision Curve Analysis (DCA). The enrolled 1,374 participants, whom 545 self-reported history. There significant positive association risk in people 2.32 times higher than without (dominance ratio = 2.32, 95% confidence interval: 1.83-2.96, p < 0.001). Subgroup analysis highlighted stronger correlation participants aged 50-85 years, hypertensive individuals, those large belly circumference. A histogram including three variables: syndrome, age smoking status constructed predict probability occurrence. And decision (DCA) used nomogram at different high-risk thresholds. high utility under thresholds illustrated. syndrome. Furthermore, observed emphasizes need increased vigilance patients advanced age, smoking, MetS.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a life-threatening disorder with limited therapeutic options. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are formed by process known as "NETosis" that has been implicated in AAA pathogenesis, yet the roles and prognostic significance of NET-related genes remain poorly understood. This study aimed to identify key AAA- (AAA-NETs-RGs), elucidate their potential mechanisms contributing AAA, explore compounds for therapy. Through bioinformatics analysis multiomics machine learning, we identified six AAA-NETs-RGs: DUSP26, FCN1, MTHFD2, GPRC5C, SEMA4A, CCR7, which exhibited strong diagnostic predicting progression, were significantly enriched pathways related cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction chemokine signaling. Immune infiltration revealed causal association between AAA-NETs-RGs immune cell infiltration. Cell-cell communication indicated predominantly function smooth muscle cells, B T NK primarily through cytokine Gene profiling CCR7 MTHFD2 most significant upregulation patients compared non-AAA controls, well vitro models. Notably, genetic depletion strongly inhibited Ang II-induced phenotypic switching, functional impairment, senescence vascular cells (VSMCs). Based on AAA-NETs-RGs, molecular docking combined Connectivity Map (CMap) database mirdametinib agent AAA. Mirdametinib effectively alleviated biological dysfunction, senescence. These findings provide valuable insights into understanding pathophysiology highlight promising strategies targeting AAA-NETs-RGs.

Abstract Background Erectile dysfunction (ED) is widespread among adult men and affects their quality of life psychological health. There increasing evidence that physical exercise sports training can effectively improve erectile function, but the effects these interventions influencing factors require further systematic analysis. Objectives To evaluate intervention effect on in through a review meta-analysis. Second, to explore moderating different modes, intensity, other effect. Methods Electronic searches were conducted Embase, Cochrane Central, Scopus, Ovid MEDLINE, PubMed, Web Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) up October 2024. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving with precise diagnosis (IIEF-5 scores <21) included investigate function (EF). The bias risk studies was assessed using Risk Bias tool 2.0 (Rob2). In addition, subgroup analyses performed identify relative advantages each method improving function. Results 12 randomized 818 results demonstrated significantly improved by 2.9 points (95% CI 1.7–4.1, p < 0.001). Sub-group types showed most considerable significant observed for aerobic combined pharmacological treatment (MD = 3.04, 95% 1.15 4.92, 0.002) traditional Asian 4.28, 2.95 5.61, Other show consistent age or medical condition groups tendency have more low-intensity than moderate- high-intensity exercise. Conclusions Interventions including men, analysis indicating combining treatments yields greatest benefits. PROSPERO Registration CRD42024593228.

Mitochondrial damage caused by external stimuli, such as high glucose levels and inflammation, results in excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Existing antioxidants can only scavenge ROS cannot address the root cause of production, namely, abnormal mitochondria. To overcome this limitation, study develops a piezoelectric synergistic drug-loaded nanosystem (BaTCG nanosystem) that targets The BaTCG is delivered to mitochondria via triphenylphosphine modification, generates current under stimulation ultrasound, thereby promoting mitochondrial autophagy restoring homeostasis. In model diabetes-related erectile dysfunction (ED), nanosystem, through induced effect, not promoted mitophagy, reducing but also released long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) effectively reduce blood damage. Each component functions individually well synergistically, thus facilitating corpus cavernosum repair function. conclusion, findings offer novel therapeutic strategy for ED target treatment conditions with functionalized nanoparticles regulate mitophagy.
