Agricultural productivity is constantly being forced to maintain yield stability feed the enormously growing world population. However, shrinking arable and nutrient-deprived soil abiotic biotic stressor (s) in different magnitudes put additional challenges achieving global food security. Though well-defined, concept of macro, micronutrients, beneficial elements from a plant nutritional perspective. Among various selenium (Se) essential small amounts for life cycle organisms, including crops. Selenium has potential improve health, leading improvement crop quality. Se possesses an immense encouraging phenomenon when supplied within threshold limit, also having wide variations. The supplementation exhibited promising outcomes lessening stress Besides, bulk form, nano-Se, biogenic-Se revealed some merits limitations. Literature suggests that possibilities alleviation fortifying foods are encouraging. In this article, apart adopting combination conventional extensive review literature bibliometric analysis, authors have assessed journey "soil spoon" perspective diverse agroecosystem highlight research gap area. There no doubt time come seriously consider tag associated with Se, especially drastic climate change era.

High salinity is a serious problem in agriculture, causing significant yield losses crops every year by inflicting damage both through the osmotic effect reducing water uptake plants, and excess ions entering into transpiration stream cell injury. The application of various bioactive nanoparticles particular shapes, sizes, concentrations has been shown to give protection against salt stress different crop improving growth parameters, seed germination, root anatomy, yield, biochemical profile. molecular mechanisms behind this phenomenon are still unknown, but research revealed that can alter several gene expressions (including AREB, SOS2, DDF2) associated with stress. Hence, potential alternative strategy management agriculture receiving huge attention nowadays. Here we have reviewed effective so far investigated, their for better production major challenges this. This review intended be helpful insight mitigation nanoparticle-mediated strategies understanding nanoparticle-salinity relations. Prospects using mitigate also discussed here.

Abstract Nanoparticles enhance agricultural applications with their bioactivity, bioavailability, and reactivity. Selenium mitigates the adverse effects of salinity on plant growth, boosting antioxidant defense, metabolism, resilience to abiotic stress. Our study applied selenium nanoparticles mitigate salinity‐induced damage support growth. We characterized green‐synthesized analyzed stress‐related metabolites, activities (DPPH, ABTS), phenolic content, reducing powers (CUPRAC, FRAP). Nanoparticle reduced proline MDA levels while chlorophyll, carotenoids, activity total content. An increase was also observed in CUPRAC FRAP capacities. In terms highest value determined SA 1 (4.58±0.40 mg GAE g −1 ) application; DPPH free radical scavenging IC50 A 3 (0.13±0.007 mL application, which closest positive control. The lowest level found (15.00±0.64 nmol FW) (10.08±0.42 ). Comparing results, green synthesis using Sternbergia candida (SC‐SeNP) at different concentrations showed ameliorative various parameters plants, it that salt stress pepper plants were following SC‐SeNP applications.
