As Internet usage reshapes our societies, digital inequalities have increased over the past few decades. During COVID-19 pandemic, many countries accelerated their transformation processes, and it is widely believed pandemic has deepened existing in realm. Purpose: The main goal of the article, identified with research problem, is to determine mediating role HRM outcomes in relationships between employee performance appraisal (EPA) and company results establish whether there are any identifiable regularities this scope four specific contexts, i.e. pre-pandemic pandemic periods COVID-19 HQs foreign subsidiaries MNCs. Design/methodology/approach: empirical included 200 MNCs headquartered Central Europe. To capture actual relations variables under study, raw data were adjusted efficiency index (EI), which a novelty type research. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used verify hypotheses assess effects. Findings: EPA had positive effect on HRM, finance, innovativeness quality, both periods, although not always statistically significant. Furthermore, company’s mediate positively other three categories results, regardless organizational level (HQs’ or subsidiaries’) time period consideration. Additionally, during pandemic, stronger than time, at local subsidiaries.
