Abstract
Due
to
the
limitations
of
existing
measurements
experiential
avoidance,
we
would
like
check
validity
improved
version
Acceptance
and
Action
Questionnaire–II
(AAQ-II),
i.e.,
Questionnaire–3
(AAQ-3),
in
Chinese
content.
The
present
study
was
aim

AAQ-3
college
students

validation

Abstract
Background
Experiential
avoidance
represents
the
tendency
to
avoid
negative
internal
experiences,
which
is
a
key
concept
in
Acceptance
and
Commitment
Therapy.
However,
existing
measures
of
experiential
(i.e.,
Action
Questionnaire–II,
AAQ-II)
have
some
limitations.
This
study
aims
assess
psychometric
properties
Chinese
version
Multidimensional
Avoidance
Questionnaire-30
(MEAQ-30)
provide
evidence
for
reliability
validity
this
new
instrument.
Methods
Two
questionnaire
surveys
were
conducted.
The
first
sample
(
N
=
546)
was
analyzed
using
classical
test
theory
(CTT),
second
511)
multidimensional
item
response
(MIRT).
Results
CTT
supported
six-factor
structure
MEAQ-30,
indicating
good
consistency
measurement
invariance
across
genders.
Furthermore,
MEAQ-30
showed
satisfactory
convergent
discriminant
validity.
incremental

controlling
effects
neuroticism
AAQ-II,
could
still
significantly
predict
depression,
anxiety,
stress.
MIRT
indicated
30
items
had
discrimination
difficulty,
six
subscales
sufficiently
reliable

Background
Examining
